The judiciary in the criminal justice system; structure of American court system; prosecution; right to counsel; pre-trial release; grand juries; adjudication process; types and rules of evidence; sentencing. Prerequisite: Three hours of political science or permission of instructor. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
