NURS 4063. Mental Health Nursing. Nursing role in caring for individuals with problems affecting behavior. Emphasis on aspects of health promotion, health maintenance, and coping with disease processes, including the impact of life experiences. Unique role and contributions of nursing in relation to collaborative management of individuals and families to promote mental wellness and manage mental illness. Prerequisites: NURS 3151 , NURS 3153 , NURS 3191 , NURS 3193 , and NURS 3813 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
