NURS 3243. Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family. Nurse role in caring for women, neonates, and developing families. Emphasis on health promotion, health maintenance, and disease prevention for women and families, including the impact of life experiences. Role and contributions of the nurse in relation to collaborative management of childbearing women and families. Prerequisites: BIOL 4344 , NURS 3813 , NURS 3193 , NURS 3181 , NURS 3153 , NURS 3151 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
