NURS 3193. Foundations of Nursing Practice. Concepts and principles that form the basis for professional nursing practice. Application of the nursing process as a decision-making framework using effective clinical judgment skills. Examination of how culturally diverse, ethical, legal, historical, and political issues influence nursing practice. Prerequisite or co-requisite: BIOL 4344 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
