NFS 4701. Dietetics As a Profession. An introduction to the professional responsibilities of the dietitian with emphasis on nontraditional careers: the Academy's (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) organization and structure, routes to registration, and the application process for internship. Enroll during final fall semester. Course content may include sensitive dietetics-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the major of BS in Nutrition (Dietetics). As with all required courses, this course is contextualized and compliant with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics requirements. The content prepares students for success on the Commission on Dietetic Registration Examination. Prerequisites: NFS 2323 , NFS 2011 , and senior standing. One lecture hour a week. Credit: One hour.
