NFS 3202. Nutrition Care Process. Principles and techniques of the nutrition care process including assessing nutritional status, practicing routine health screenings, identifying and writing nutrition diagnoses, and developing and implementing nutrition care plans. Introduction and practice of basic interprofessional skills including values and ethics, roles and responsibilities, communication, and team values. Course content may include sensitive dietetics-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the major of BS in nutrition (dietetics). As with all required courses, this course is contextualized and compliant with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics requirements. The content prepares students for success on the Commission on Dietetic Registration Examination. One lecture hour and two laboratory hours a week. Credit: Two hours.
