Catalog description

NFS 3163. Sports Nutrition. Physiological effects of exercise and nutrition upon the human body. Current topics of interest, current research, and their relationship to athletic performance. Course content may include sensitive dietetics-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the major of BS in nutrition (dietetics). As with all required courses, this course is contextualized and in compliant with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics requirements. The content prepares students for success on the Commission on Dietetic Registration Examination. Prerequisite: NFS 2323 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
