NFS 3043. Community Nutrition. Identification of nutritional problems and resources available in the community. Management of nutrition services, provision of nutrition information/education to the public, and the legislative process. Course content may include sensitive dietetics-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the BS in Nutrition (Dietetics) major. As with all required courses, this course is contextualized and is compliant with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics requirements. The content prepares students for success on the Commission on Dietetic Registration Examination. Prerequisite: NFS 2323 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
