DH 4561. Clinical Dental Hygiene IV Theory. This clinic course focuses on reflection related to clinical scenarios, quality assurance, and established protocols as they are integrated into the dental hygiene processof care. Emphasis is placed on the adult patient exhibiting severe periodontal disease, including interprofessional collaborative activities. This required course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content is essential for accreditation and prepares BSDH students for success on the National Dental Hygiene Examination. Co-requisite: DH 4563 . One lecture hour a week. Credit: One hour.
