DH 4461. Dental Materials Lab. Manipulation, application, use, evaluation, and safe use of a variety of dental materials currently used in oral healthcare. This required course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content is essential for accreditation and prepares BSDH students for success on the National Dental Hygiene Examination. Three laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
