DH 4431. Community Oral Health Practicum. Experiences in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating for community oral health programs across a variety of settings, emphasizing professional competence, interprofessional collaboration, and humanistic, social, and behavioral factors influencing community oral health. This required course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content is essential for accreditation and prepares BSDH students for success on the National Dental Hygiene Examination. Pre-requisite DH 4313 . Three practicum hours a week. Credit: One hour.
