DH 4341. Advanced Periodontology Lab. Application, evaluation, and effective use of a variety of techniques and adjunctive procedures currently used in oral healthcare for the treatment of moderate to severe periodontal disease, including pain management. This required course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content is essential for accreditation and prepares BSDH students for success on the National Dental Hygiene Examination. Four laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
