DH 3402. Preclinical Dental Hygiene I Practice. Clinical laboratory designed to prepare entry-level clinicians for initiation of clinical patient care including all aspects of the dental hygiene process of care. Co-requisite: DH 3401 . This required course is part of the degree plan for the major of Dental Hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content is essential for accreditation and prepares BSDH students for success on the National Dental Hygiene Exam. Ten clinical laboratory hours a week. Credit: Two hours.
