Catalog description

DH 3341. Orofacial Biology Lab. Identification and labeling of individual teeth for both deciduous and permanent dentition; emphasis on the traits specific to each tooth. Identification and function of muscles, nerves, and arterial supply related to structures of the head and neck. Course content may include sensitive health-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content prepares BSDH students for success on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination. Co-requisite: DH 3323 . Three laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
