DH 3221. Risk Assessment and Preventive Dentistry Lab. Clinical experience in providing disease control counseling, including oral hygiene, nutritional counseling, and tobacco cessation; application of sealants. Course content may include sensitive health-related material. This course is part of the degree plan for the major of dental hygiene. As with all required dental hygiene courses, this course is contextualized in and compliant with the Commission on Dental Accreditation requirements. The content prepares BSDH students for success on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination. Co-requisite: DH 3222 . Three clinical laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
