COMS 4111. Speech Language Pathology Assistant Practicum. Treatment of individuals with communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist, complemented by required documentation and reflective learning activities. Minimum of 25 practicum hours for Texas SLPA licensure. May be repeated once for students who wish to pursue ASHA certification. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. Credit: One hour.
