BIOL 4593. Science in the Secondary Classroom. Strategies for teaching high school and middle school science using science inquiry and active learning techniques. Notebooking, portfolio building, 5E lesson plan design, classroom management, cooperative learning, assessment, and technology applications. This course is intended for students in the Educator Preparation Program. Prerequisite: Junior status. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
