ART 3173. Contemporary Art. Contemporary art and practice, especially emergent approaches and formats. Investigation of theoretical and conceptual foundations of contemporary art, major artists, styles of art, emerging trends, and interpretive strategies. Study of examples of contemporary artwork from a variety of identities, perspectives, and cultures. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
