Sociology of Drugs and Drug Trafficking.

Catalog description

This course is a sociological examination of the issues relating to the international drug trade, drug laws, and drug law enforcement in both America and around the world. Course will present an overview of the history of drugs, drug trafficking, and drug use and abuse with emphasis on U.S. drug policies, drug laws, the U.S. war on drugs, and efforts at treatment of Americans addicted to drugs. Discussions will also include the source countries and trafficking routes.
