Catalog description

The internship course offers students an opportunity to work in the offices of local, state, and federal governments and non-profit organizations. Students will learn the kinds of services provided by the offices, expectations the electorate has of their public officials, and activities that occur in these offices. Students will be engaged in meaningful assignments that contribute to their understanding of representative democratic government. Prerequisite: 2nd year grad student and instructor permission.
