Cardiology Elective

Catalog description

This ward-based consult service elective consists of daily review of electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, cardiology consultation rounds, Cardiac Care Unit teaching rounds, weekly cardiology teaching conferences, and cardiac catheterization conferences. The student will prepare a review of an assigned topic for the weekly cardiology conferences. Bedside cardiovascular examination and management will be stressed. Limit 1 Student, possibly 2 with prior approval (2 or 4 weeks)
