Nursing Leadership and Theory

Catalog description

This course engages the student in an examination of leadership concepts, theories, and skills that are critical to high quality, safe patient care. Nursing theory will guide the leader in assessing nursing care for quality and facilitation of safe patient outcomes. Principles of leadership will provide the foundation for integrating concepts of systems thinking, ethical and critical decision-making, communication, collaboration, negotiation, change facilitation and financial management in the administrative leadership role.
