Catalog description

This course introduces students to the legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities that guide the athletic trainer’s scope of practice in emergency care. Through lecture, discussion, and case-based learning, students will examine the roles of healthcare providers and develop foundational skills in acute injury and illness management. Emphasis will be placed on learning to develop, implement, and execute Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) to ensure an organized and effective response in emergency situations.
