Supply chain management is the successful cross-functional integration of key business processes from the original suppliers of products, services, and information through the firm to its customers and stakeholders with an emphasis on value-added benefits. Content areas included management of demand determination and purchasing, resources and materials, quality, lean, logistics and distribution, and systems integration processes.
