Intro to Mathematical Proofs

Catalog description

This course is a study of the principles and techniques of interpreting, discovering and writing correct mathematical proofs. Students learn to independently prove theorems from various areas in mathematics, which may include topics from logic, the structure of the real number system, number theory, geometry and algebra.
