Catalog description

This course is designed to teach pre-service teachers that literacy permeates in all disciplinary and content areas. The focus of the course is on teaching the science of reading through the structures, strategies, and approaches to teaching literacy in various disciplines, while developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet the literacy needs of diverse students. This course may require up to 10 hours of service learning. TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Math, and Writing
