Catalog description

The course will provide bilingual teacher candidates with the methodology needed in biliteracy reading comprehension, writing structures, and strategies in content areas. The bilingual teacher will design instruction and evaluate the biliteracy trajectories for emerging bilinguals. Students will apply knowledge of a biliteracy framework methodology to address language and content standards in the elementary bilingual and dual language classrooms. This course is taught in Spanish and English. TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Writing, and Math
