Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of autism spectrum disorder across the lifespan using a developmental approach. Students will learn how individuals are assessed and diagnosis for medical and educational diagnosis . Evidence-based interventions will be discussed with a focus on intensive early intervention and educational interventions. Issues related to access to high quality treatment and the importance of advocacy will be discussed. (Previously ABA 4309.) TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Writing, and Math
