Catalog description

This course is a study of motivational appeals and social scientific approaches to creating and evaluating persuasive messages. Emphasis will be on applying theories to both analyzing examples and creating appeals under different circumstances. The components and functions of different forms of persuasion will be carefully reviewed at different levels (cognition, affection, and behavior). TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Writing, and Math
