Catalog description
Students will learn basic social scientific methods in the context of communication research: Problem formation, hypothesis testing and theory building; fundamentals of measurement; research designs and approaches; data collection and analysis; and ethics in academic and professional applications. This class is a prerequisite for COMM 4393 – Senior Communication Seminar. TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Writing, and Math
