Catalog description

Biology of Disease Vectors the biology and ecology of arthropods that transmit medically important diseases. Students will gain an understanding of the complex relationship between vectors and the pathogens they transmit, specifically the physiological, evolutionary, and ecological relationship. Students will also learn applied and epidemiological aspects of this complex relationship. A mandatory recitation is associated with this course. Recommended: BIOL 3407 and BIOL 3402.
