This course is a study of auditing and assurance services, focusing on the principles and practices of auditing financial statements. The course aims to develop a foundational understanding of the audit process and the auditor’s role in ensuring the reliability and credibility of financial reporting. Emphasis is placed on statistical methods and the use of computerized audit programs, and artificial intelligence (AI) for the detection of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in financial records.
