Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the conceptual aspects of accounting systems on which bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and auditing are based. The emphasis is to develop students’ ability to understand the processing of accounting data and the controls that are necessary to assure accuracy and reliability of the data processed by the accounting system. It also improves the student’s understanding of how key business processes are managed and integrated in enterprise level software used by large organizations. This course includes hands-on experience in accounting and database software with emphasis on SAP.
