Prerequisite: SPN 3053 and either SPN 3043 or SPN 3063 . This course introduces students to the practice of interviewing for health and human services in Spanish. The course analyzes the theoretical, ethical, and sociological dimensions of medical and motivational interviewing in the context of the Spanish-speaking population in the United States while developing terminology appropriate for health care.
