Catalog description

Prerequisite: PSY 2073 or equivalent and graduate standing, or consent of instructor. This course will introduce students to the practical and theoretical issues regarding the application of Bayesian Data Analysis within the social sciences. Topics include Bayesian analogs of many of the models that are taught in standard graduate statistics classes, including Bayesian generalized linear models, and less commonly taught topics, such as Bayesian mixture models and Bayesian imputation. Students will implement models using R and Stan. Some familiarity with R will be helpful but is not required. Course Fee: GHC1 $75; LRHC $10; STHC $18.
