Prerequisite: POL 1013 . Legal principles and rules are taught in law school through “casebooks” that include court opinions and explanatory or supplemental case notes. Students are expected to learn about “the law” in a particular subject area through the study of cases. This course uses a law school textbook on Torts. The method of study is useful for students aiming to attend law school or for students interested legal system practices apart from attending law school. (Formerly Federal Courts.)
