This course addresses two integrated management functions central to strategic decision making for successful nonprofits: financial management and resource development. The objectives of the course are to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and generate financial resources, including financial roles and responsibilities within an organization, financial reporting, budgeting, and management tools. Students will learn how to build a comprehensive development program, the fundraising cycle, organizational stewardship and accountability with regard to fundraising and philanthropy.
