Prerequisite: MUS 3103 . A seminar in advanced studio sound production techniques. Students will be expected to plan and execute every aspect of a large media project including dialogue recording and mixing, foley and soundscapes, advanced multitrack recording, and final mixing and mastering techniques. Subjects covered include recording, editing, signal processing, mixing, mastering, MIDI and software sequencing, project planning and arrangement, and the role of the engineer and the producer.
