Prerequisites: MUS 2112 , MUS 2162 , and one of the following: MUS 1552 or MUS 2521 . A survey of the field of music perception and cognition, focusing on various interdisciplinary approaches to the study of music. Emphasis is placed on how empirical research methods can be used to study the relationship between music and other disciplines (including philosophy, physics, biology, anthropology, sociology, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and education). Generally offered: Fall and Spring of odd-numbered years, Summer of even-numbered years. Course Fees: LRLF $10.27; STLF $18.48.
