Prerequisite: MUS 2102 ; enrollment is limited to music majors. Continued study of sight-singing and ear training as applied to repertoire featuring increased chromaticism and compositional techniques first introduced in the twentieth century. Includes the study of solfège, dictation (rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic), error detection, transcription, and form. Should be taken concurrently with MUS 2162 .
