Slavery has been a global force for centuries, and its impact in the periods and regions where it has flourished remains a central issue for writers and thinkers today. The chronological and geographical scopes may vary, but offerings might likely focus on the Atlantic World, or the Islamic World as well as slavery in the United States, or more broadly, the Americas.
