This course assists students in understanding the context in which the United States interacts with the rest of the world and the effects this has on the US in return. It traces the history and evolution of the United States’ involvement in global affairs and why and how what happens in the world matters for the US and vice versa. Issues may include security, globalization, peace and conflict, trade, human rights, health issues, the environment, terrorism, food, technology, international diplomacy, and other intermestic issues. May be applied toward the Core Curriculum requirement in Language, Philosophy and Culture. Generally offered: Fall, Spring. Generally Scheduled Location: Online/Internet.
