Catalog description

An introductory course on the application of geographic information systems. Students will develop technical skills related to the acquisition, manipulation, analysis, and display of spatial data. Other topics covered include an overview of projection systems, data acquisition issues, and mapping techniques. The course incorporates both a lecture component and a hands-on computer lab component. Generally offered: Fall. Course Fee: GIS1 $32; LRLF $10.27; STLF $24.64; DL01 $100.
