Catalog description

Evolution of ideas concerning the earth’s origin, structure, and age; social impact of recognizing the antiquity of the planet and humankind’s brief presence; examination of how the distribution of planetary resources and climate change influenced the rise and clash of civilizations. May be applied toward the Core Curriculum requirement in Life and Physical Sciences. May not be applied to a major in geosciences. Generally offered: Fall, Spring, Summer. Generally Scheduled Location: Main Campus, Online/Internet. Course Fee: DL01 $75; LRC1 $12; LRS1 $46.20; STSI $21.60.
