An introduction to environmental science, including scientific principles, concepts, and methods needed to understand the interactions of the biotic (living) components in the natural world. Topics covered include environmental and scientific literacy, ecology, evolution and biodiversity, human populations and environmental health, and resource management and environmental policies. Core Curriculum skills, including critical thinking, quantitative skills, teamwork, and communication, are emphasized. (TCCN = ENVR 1301).
