Catalog description

Prerequisite: Upper-division standing and instructor approval required; students must have completed the prerequisite courses for Senior Design I in their respective program of study. This course focuses on developing and presenting project proposals and conceptual designs. Students will engage in business planning, project management, and ethical discussions in engineering design. The course includes weekly problem-solving recitations and emphasizes industrial collaboration and/or faculty sponsorship. Key activities involve selecting and approving a design project, developing a detailed design proposal, and using computer-aided tools for synthesis, analytical and numerical analysis, and modeling of open-ended problems. (Same as EGR 4812 . Credit cannot be earned for both EGR 4812 and EGR 4803 .) This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fee: DL01 $50.
