Focus on social justice issues affecting children in the U.S. and globally such as immigration, poverty, genocide, discrimination, hunger, education, domestic violence, child abuse and child labor among others. A view of cultural practices with a particular emphasis on gender issues across diverse groups. (Formerly titled "Seminar in Early Childhood Education in Cross-Cultural Perspective.")
