Prerequisite: Student must be TSI complete in Reading. Representative masterworks of Western literature in translation. An examination of major texts from the Renaissance to the present that have shaped and expressed Western cultural traditions. Situation of literary works in the context of the development of civilization. May be applied toward the Core Curriculum requirement in Language, Philosophy and Culture.
