Prerequisite: Graduate standing in Computer Science or consent of instructor. Introduction to bioinformatics. Problem areas such as sequence analysis and gene component analysis, structure prediction, gene ontology, phylogenetic inference, gene regulation, and pathway construction and analysis will be approached from a computational viewpoint. (Same as BME 6323. Credit cannot be earned for both BME 6323 and CS 5263 .) This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fee: GA02 $90; IUCA $45.
