Catalog description

Prerequisite: Consent of Instructor. The student learns how to conduct independent research. The student selects a thesis topic, conducts a literature review, plans and executes an experiment, and gathers and analyzes data. Faculty sponsorship of the thesis is required, and a faculty member should agree to sponsor the student before Senior Thesis I begins. Not more than a total of 6 semester credit hours of Independent Study, Undergraduate Research, Senior Design, and Senior Thesis courses may count toward the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Generally offered: Fall, Spring. This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fee: IUCA $45.
